Jean Antrim, Flute
Jean Antrim has had a varied musical career. As a scholarship student she studied at Syracuse University and at the New School in New York City. Her private teachers include Murray Panitz, Frances Blaisdell, Frederick Wilkins, William Kincaid, and noted soloist and recitalist Sam Baron. She has concertized extensively on the east coast as a soloist and chamber musician and has made numerous appearances with some of the leading symphony orchestras in the east. In addition to her other activities, her performance credits include performing Mozart’s Flute & Harp Concerto with Margaret Ross in Carnegie Hall and three New York Times-reviewed solo recitals (one on the baroque Traverso) at Carnegie Recital Hall. She has played numerous chamber music recitals in New York City. She is also a flute sales consultant on and teaches flute, piccolo and chamber music at her Gloucester Lyric Flutes Studio and on-line via Skype.

David Benjamin, Clarinet
The name David Benjamin is synonymous with music in Gloucester. He directs concerts, produces concert series, teaches young and adult students, conducts concerts all over the North Shore and generally promotes “Community Music” wherever he goes. He retired in 2012 as the Director of the Elementary and Middle School Bands and the String program in the Gloucester Public Schools. David is also the retired (January 2018) business manager for the Cape Ann Symphony, serving in that capacity since 1981. This was some of his most fulfilling work. He performs with a variety of different bands throughout the North Shore and as a soloist. David is also the Conductor of the Cape Ann Community Band and the North Shore Concert Band, which perform an annual series of free outdoor concerts.

Priscilla Walter, Piano
Priscilla is a well-known professional freelance musician in Eastern Massachusetts. She is the organist of the Emmanuel Church in Manchester, MA. She has been organist/choir director at Trinity Lutheran Church, Milford, Ct.; First Congregational Church, Essex; St. Paul Lutheran Church, Gloucester; Congregational Church of Topsfield and Ascension Memorial Episcopal Church, Ipswich. In recent years she has served four times as interim director of music at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Beverly Farms and interim organist at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Portsmouth, N.H. She had a private piano studio for 15 years and accompanied in the Essex Voice Studio of Margot Warner for 20 years. She was the accompanist for the Methuen Young Peoples Theater at the Methuen Music Hall for 12 years, the Newburyport Choral Society for 18 years, and is currently the accompanist for the Cape Ann Symphony Chorus. Sophia Hogan-Lopez, flute, is a resident of Gloucester. She is a frequent soloist at the Holy Parish churches of Cape Ann. She is also a member of the Gordon College Symphonic Band, The Boston Firemen’s Band and the Cape Ann Community Band. She has studied flute and saxophone with David Benjamin.

The Concert Winds of Cape Ann formed in the spring of 2019 as a gathering of wind players interested in performing mixed ensemble chamber music in small and large groups. The Concert Winds include oboes, bassoons, French horns, clarinets and flutes. Their debut performance was in April of 2019 at the Crowell Chapel (Manchester, MA) to a full house of music lovers.
